Same note as the Terms page: this is a reasonable starting draft covering what data we actually collect and why, not legal advice. Worth a lawyer's review before launch, particularly if you'll have users in the EU/UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA), which have specific disclosure and rights requirements this draft only partially addresses.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Scenetimental (operated by Differson LLC) collects, how we use it, and your choices around it.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: the email address you sign up with, your account creation date, and your subscription status/history.
Content you generate: the prompts you submit and the images, video, and audio you generate, stored in your account's library so you can access and re-download them.
Usage data: which features you use, how many generations you make, and basic technical logs (timestamps, error rates) used to operate and troubleshoot the service.
Payment information: once billing is connected, payments are handled by a third-party payment processor (e.g. Stripe) - we do not store your full card number ourselves.

2. How We Use This Information

To provide the service - authenticate you, run your generation requests, store and serve your generated content back to you.
To operate subscriptions and credits, and to enforce the credit/billing terms described in our Terms of Use.
To enforce our acceptable-use and safety-filtering policy.
To communicate with you about your account (e.g. billing issues, policy violations).
To improve the service - understanding aggregate usage patterns.

3. Where Your Data Lives

Account data and generated content are stored using Firebase/Google Cloud infrastructure. Generation itself runs on Modal's cloud GPU infrastructure - your prompts and any reference images you upload are sent there to run the generation, but are not persisted by Modal beyond what's needed to complete and return your job.

4. Data Sharing

We don't sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers needed to run Scenetimental (Firebase/Google Cloud for accounts, storage, and database; Modal for GPU compute; a payment processor for billing, once connected), or when required by law.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data and generated content for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual generations from your library at any time. If you want your account and all associated data fully deleted, contact us and we'll process that request.

6. Your Rights

You can access, download, or delete the content in your library at any time from your dashboard. You can request a copy of your account data or full account deletion by emailing us.

7. Age Restriction

Scenetimental is not intended for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

8. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser local storage to keep you signed in between visits. We don't use third-party advertising trackers.

9. International Users

Your data may be processed in the United States or other countries where our infrastructure providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your home country.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
